Seguin Township has implemented an official flag policy, adopted at the November 20, 2023 Meeting of Council. While the Township has historically followed similar flag protocol year-to-year, this is the first policy of its kind in the Township.

The policy provides clarity and consistency for staff. It also further aligns the municipality with the practices of other municipalities and levels of government. 

The policy provides guidelines for half-masting, and processes for external organizations requesting to fly their flag on the community flagpole.
