Humphrey Museum

Humphrey Museum is open all summer 7 days a week starting Canada Day weekend and ending Labour Day weekend. Check back in 2026 for summer programming! Follow the Museum Facebook page for all program updates.

The Humphrey School House Museum, located at 3 Museum Road (off Highway 141 & Clear Lake Road), was built from hand-hewn logs in the early 1870s and originally served as a church before becoming a one-room rural school. After closing in 1956, the building remained vacant until 1973, when six students, supported by a provincial grant program, helped restore it as a museum. Today, the museum celebrates the life and times of the area’s early settlers, highlighting community history and the region’s natural environment, with most exhibits donated by local families to preserve and share their heritage.

The Humphrey Museum is always grateful for new donations that help preserve and share in our community's history! If you have a special artifact you'd like to donate, please call 705-732-4300 ext. 810 or email rec@seguin.ca

Fill out the Museum Donation Form at the bottom of this page to expedite the process.
