NOTICE is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the Township of The Archipelago, the Township of Carling, the Municipality of McDougall, the Township of McKellar, the Town of Parry Sound, the Township of Seguin, and the Municipality of Whitestone that Nominations for the offices of Mayor, Reeve and Councillor may be made by completing and filing, in the office of the appropriate Clerk, nominations in the prescribed form. 

Nominations for the office of School Board Trustee may be made by completing and filing nominations in the prescribed form. Please contact your local school board for further information.

How to be Nominated:

1. Obtain nomination papers from the appropriate Clerk;

2. Obtain Endorsement of Nomination forms from the appropriate Clerk, (if applicable);

3. Bring completed nomination papers to the Clerk between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Nomination Day, Friday August 21, 2026 or during normal office hours between May 1, 2026 and August 20, 2026 inclusive;

4. A nomination filing fee of $200.00 for the office of head of council, or $100.00 for all other offices, must be paid at the time of filing, payable to the municipality in cash, debit, certified cheque or money order. (Please confirm available payment methods—including potential e-Transfer acceptance—with the relevant Municipality)

5. Nomination papers may be filed in person or by an agent but not by fax;

6. Nomination papers must be certified by the Clerk before such person becomes a certified candidate.
